Cecy Equihua currently teaches kindergarten at Lucille Roybal-Allard Elementary School and has been working as a teacher for 12 years. Equihua has a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a minor in Spanish from California State University, Long Beach and her teaching credential from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She received a master's degree in educational leadership and an administrative credential from California State University, Northridge. She is also a National Board Certified teacher. Equihua grew up knowing she wanted to improve her community and found that teaching has made her dream a reality.
