Arnoldo Torres

Arnoldo Torres is founder and director of the public-policy consulting firm Torres2 Policy Consultants, which assists primarily non-profit organizations and advocates on behalf of indigent and ethnic minority communities. Torres served as national executive director of the League of United Latin American Citizens from 1979 to 1985 and was active in overseeing its legislative and policy agenda. He was instrumental in the debate surrounding the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986, which addressed civil rights protections, temporary workers and legalization. His articles have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Arizona Republic, Sacramento Bee, Albuquerque Journal and U.S. News & World Report, and he has been a guest on "Firing Line," "Crossfire," "CBS Morning News," "Phil Donohue," CNN, and Univision, Telemundo and TV Azteca Spanish-language networks.
