Melissa Revuelta

Melissa Revuelta is a professional development coach for Long Beach Unified School District in California. Melissa works with educators and students to implement Common Core standards in the classroom. Melissa taught science and history at Cabrillo High School for over 10 years. Previously, she was the advisor to Adventures in College and Career Readiness (AVID) and Embracing Latina Leadership Alliances (ELLAS), programs designed to prepare young Latinas for college, leadership and life. A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles, Melissa is engaged in community service and mentors many of her former students. Melissa has worked with the Proposition 38 campaign to provide more funding for public schools in California.
