Zoi A. Traga Philippakos, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the department of theory and practice in teacher education (TPTE) at the College of Education at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research interests include reading and writing instruction for students in K to 12 and postsecondary education, genre-based strategy instruction, self-regulation, motivation and approaches to professional development for classroom teachers.
