Kim Day

Kim Day is the Co-founder and Chief Education Officer of Perspectives Charter Schools in Chicago. She co-founded Perspectives as a school-within-a-school in 1993 on the South Side of Chicago; the school received its official charter in 1997. Together with Diana Shulla-Cose, she has spoken across the country on the "A Disciplined Life" education model, developing deliberate school culture, college completion work and successful urban secondary education. Day earned her master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Day is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and was also a recipient of the Harvard Business School Club of Chicago Fellowship.
